MARCH THIRTIETH TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
Love & Reverie show...

Last night Skyler and I went to Steppin' Out for a local show. It was a band called Life's Only Lesson's CD Release show! They were great and you need to go check out their music. They are all great guys and we wish them nothing but the best in their furture. Another band that played last night was local talent Still Pink, they are totally rad guys. They have a pretty cool image too, wearing all white on stage. Last but not least our boys in Love & Reverie opened their show with another amazing performance.

Our best friend Jason Collins, was at the show last night and took some sweet pictures. Be sure to go check him out either by clicking his name, or clicking one of the above pictures! He was a happy guy last night too, his college basketball team (UNC) beat Louisville. He was watching the game like his life depended on it toward the end of the second half.

New This Time It's War song

CEER!US apparel sponsored This Time It's War have just released their newest song to date called Dead World.

Here is a message from the band to you (their fans):

The past year has brought a lot of changes in our band. In 2007 we lost two members, one by choice and one not, we lost our van, and we were completely stuck for several months. It was probably the lowest point in our (brief) career. We’ve rebuilt ourselves from the ground up since then, and we honestly feel better than ever about the state of TTIW right now. This new song is one of the products of the struggles we’ve been through in the last 6 months, and we’re incredibly proud of it and excited for you guys to hear it. This is also the first recording to feature our new members Scott on vocals and Jeff on bass. We’re glad to have them with us.

We’re sorry it took so long to get this out, but more is on the way from our time we spent at Planet Red Studios this month very soon. We’d also like to thank our friend Chris Dowhan for his awesome work recording and producing these new songs. Please spread the word and let us know what you think, and if you like it enough, add it to your page! Enjoy.

MARCH TWENTY SEVENTH TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
Goodbye

Hello all. I am currently in Atlanta until Monday. However, if you've watched the national news, you see the Atlanta airport has stranded passengers currently due to maintence on Delta planes and subsequent grounded flights. So who knows when I'll be back, but I do hope for Monday. :)

Unfortunately I heard some terrible news this morning. We lost a very special person last night. One of the first bands CEER!US ever came in contact with, "Capital Tragedy", was fronted by a very charismatic guy named Kent. Kent and I spoke often about music, touring, the future, and most recently his wife and son. Nicci gorgeous, and his son the epitome of offspring from a gorgeous couple. I actually sent some of the first youth CEER!US clothes to Kent for his son, so he could match his father. Kent passed away last night due to a collapsed lung. Kent had an incredible voice and presence, and he wanted so badly to make an impact with his music, and I always respected him for that.

Now that he's gone, I would love to help him with that "impact". Please play the below music from his old band Capital Tragedy and get an idea of what Kent meant to me. I'd love nothing more than to see those play numbers go up. What a fitting tribute to Kent.

MARCH TWENTY FOUR TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
FIRE!

I went to a show last night with my boy Brandon of Stairwell Collapse, and I don't do this often, but a band there who I had not heard of previously (and it is strange that I haven't) really impressed me with their live show.
Go listen to Memphis May Fire. And for a taste of what I saw last night, play the below.

MARCH FOURTEENTH TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
Perfect Weather

So these past few days were more than perfect! You know that feeling in the air that summer is right around the corner? Yea, thats what these last few days were like. Mid 70's, no clouds in the sky, the birds are chirpping. My mom, my dog Smokie and I walked down to the Chesapeake Bay to watch the sun set. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life. Theres something about sitting on the beach, listening to the waves crash that is so relaxing. It really makes you thankful for everything and everyone you have in your life.

Below are a couple pictures I snapped to try to capture the beauty of this sunset. But pictures can't even describe this sunset. Close your eyes and imagine the waves crashing along the shoreline, can you feel the warmth of the sun heating up your cheeks or the sand between your toes or the smell of the salt water in your nose?

Yep, summer is almost here...

MARCH TENTH TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
B.I.N.G.O.

Who ever said bingo was easy was incredibly wrong. Keith and I went to a bingo hall last night to see what all the rage was about. Little did we know that bingo was a lot harder than it was in elementary school. Upon arriving to the bingo hall and not knowing what to do, we recieved a packet of bingo games. It literally looked like a desk calendar. There were 12 bingo games on each sheet of paper (you can see a picture of the sheet below and yes, you play that entire page at once!) This was not your beginners bingo, there were 70 year old grandmoms on oxygen tanks kicking Keith and I's butt! We had aquired a bingo coach that helped us along the way and even helped Keith find his numbers while she was playing her cards. We probably won at least once, but had no idea of it cause we were lost in the numbers. None-the-less it was a great time. Such a great time that I think we are doing it again tonight! We have a new found respect for people that play bingo all day, every day.

MARCH NINE TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
Dance. Dance. Dance.

Last night was our The Secret Handshake & The Hush Sound show. Great turnout, great bands, lots of dancing. We missed the boat (yes, we do admit it when it happens) on this band Charlotte Sometimes. Charlotte has an amazing voice (and she was a super cool girl to talk to) and their set was pretty incredible. Seriously, go play her stuff and go see them if they come near you.
Below are two photos and a video. A photo of Tyler and Charlotte from Charlotte Sometimes, and one photo and video from The Secret Handshake set.
And if we took your photo last night, they can be found in the Gallery here.

MARCH THIRD TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
Merry-Land

I just returned from Bowie, MD, and I thought it was pronounced like David Bowie, but it's really pronounced like Boo-e. Such a disappointment... Hampton Inn and Suites is such a business hotel. I dug it a lot. And as you'll see, there are only a few things I need on the road.
